EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Limitless Planet Travel & Events is a boutique travel and event planning agency. We have offices located in St. Louis, Portland, Chicago, Raleigh, and London. We are a company without borders, we produce events and VIP trips worldwide. From Moscow to Johannesburg, New York to Shanghai, we can create the experience of a lifetime. If you can dream it, we can make it happen. We began official operations in January 2011, but the Limitless Planet concept was created in a tent while on safari in Masai Mara, Kenya by founder, Shannon Lichti, in 2004. Since, it has been a long road that has taken us from coast to coast in America, and all seven continents. We have created relationships that will benefit our clients for a long time to come.

OBJECTIVES

At Limitless Planet it is our objective to plan a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We want each detail to create a trip or event that far exceeds expectations while providing a carefree experience in the far corners of the world.

ethics

We practice fair-trade travel, always sustainable and eco-friendly. Your trip dollars give back to the communities you visit.

Shannon is a Political Science nerd. She has a thriving desire to explore history, culture, and politics. She has led private, luxury, educational and adventure travel throughout the world. Her biggest achievement was seeing all seven continents before her 30th birthday. In her free time, she prefers to be scuba diving, backcountry backpacking, canoeing, yoga, and (of course) traveling. The Fotographie Museum in Berlin is her favorite place to spend an afternoon. Her favorite vacation spots are Nepal and East Africa (specifically Kenya and Tanzania).  Shannon has traveled to over 100 countries (unbelievable!) and is always ready for the next adventure.

Katie Callahan

Vice President & Director of Operations

Katie, originally from Boston, has called Oregon home for 20+ years by way of San Diego. She’s always loved exploring and knew she wanted to be a part of the travel industry, so she majored in Hotel, Restaurant & Travel Administration at UMass Amherst.

Katie’s decades of professional experience span the travel and events industries, working at both large and small agencies, managing incentive trips, corporate events and private trip planning.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and loves sharing her passion for travel with clients to deliver personalized, flawless and unforgettable experiences.

Katie’s favorite places to visit: Barcelona (food, wine & culture), Whistler (snowboarding dream), Utah Canyons (hiking perfection) & Caribbean islands (beach, please!).

When not working or traveling, you can find Katie and her husband, Zak, running around to one or both of their sons’ sporting events, loving on their elderly dog, hosting dinner parties (Katie LOVES to cook!), or just relaxing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Shelley Norton

Travel Curator

shelley@limitlessplanettravel.com

Shelley’s love of travel began at the impressionable age of six when she moved to Singapore with her family. Childhood adventures in Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and Australia further cemented her love of travel. During university, a summer job on a cruise ship in Hawaii and participating in Semester at Sea led Shelley to her post-college job as a Cruise Director, followed by years of leading luxury group tours all over the world.

Shelley has lived in New Orleans and Austin, but now calls Chicago home. Having traveled to nearly 100 countries and all seven continents, her current travel goal is revisiting many of those countries and living like a local- shopping in the markets, lingering in cafes, petting stray cats, and discovering charming streets on morning runs. She geeks out on Roman ruins and will never pass up a wine tasting. Her favorite destinations are Egypt, Southeast Asia, and Paris. When Shelley’s isn’t planning travel or traveling, she’s trying out a new restaurant or fitness class!

MACKENZIE TAYLOR

CREATIVE
Mackenzie@limitlessplanettravel.com

At a young age, Mackenzie caught the travel bug when she went to Mexico for the first time (hello, midwestern gal!) and promptly started renting every single travel guide she could get her hands on at the local library. From there, she moved abroad to London to study at Regents University and then taught English in a small town in France.

After living abroad on and off for the past 6 years, Mackenzie has firmly planted her feet in London, where she now plans UK and European adventures for her clients. One of her biggest goals in life is to help others get to countries they’ve never been before and out of their comfort zones.

Mackenzie has a range of event planning, social media marketing, and promotional experience nationwide and internationally. From working as the Social Media and Marketing Manager for Saint Louis Fashion Week to working behind-the-scenes at London Fashion Week to creating special events in London for MLB Europe.

When she is not planning trips for clients (or herself!), you’ll find Mackenzie exploring new areas of London and trying (and failing) to find good tacos in the city.
